COVID Lawsuits     

The Desert Communities EAC is a non profit organization dedicated to keeping California business informed on workforce laws and human resource issues.  We are an event partner with the Employment Development Department.

Attendees will learn:

  • Learn about the primary legal issues in COVID litigation across the U.S.
  • Understand that the pandemic did not change how the courts analyze employment claims
  • Understand that courts are demonstrating a tolerance for emergency actions public agencies implemented to preserve health and safety of employees

  • Anticipate the future of COVID claims and litigation

Vee Sotelo is the Chair of Slovak Baron Empey Murphy & Pinkney LLP’s Labor & Employment Department. She represents employers throughout California and other states. Ms. Sotelo’s practice includes providing employers with counseling and guidance as well as defending employers in litigation.
