The Desert Communities EAC is a non profit organization dedicated to keeping California business informed on workforce laws and human resource issues. We are an event partner with the Employment Development Department.
Attendees will learn:
- The difference between rules infraction versus poor performance discipline and termination;
- A process for effective performance management and discipline;
- Best practices for documenting poor performance;
- A process for rule infraction discipline that maintains company credibility through effective investigation;
- Best practices for documenting rules infraction discipline and termination including practices to avoid claims of discrimination and harassment when making such discipline and termination decisions;
- Best practices for exit interview protocols

Bob Yonowitz is a partner in the Irvine office of the national law firm of Fisher Phillips, one of the oldest and largest firms in the country practicing exclusively in labor and employment law representing management. He is co-chair of the firm's Employee Defections and Trade Secrets
Practice Group. Bob has been practicing labor and employment law representing management since graduating with honors from the George Washington University National Law Center in 1987,where he was a member of the George Washington Law Review.
