The Desert Communities EAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping California businesses informed on workforce laws and human resource issues.  We are an event partner with the Employment Development Department.

Our attendees will learn:

• The interplay between maximum leave policies, reasonable accommodation, and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act
• California adds leave for reproductive loss
• FAQ’s on California’s bereavement leave

Vee Sotelo is the Chair of Slovak Baron Empey Murphy & Pinkney LLP’s Labor & Employment Department. She represents employers throughout California and other states. Ms. Sotelo’s practice includes providing employers with counseling and guidance as well as defending employers in litigation.
