Workplace Security Essentials
The Desert Communities EAC is a non profit organization dedicated to keeping California business informed on workforce laws and human resource issues. We are an event partner with the Employment Development Department.
The presentation will provide an understanding of the security challenges facing employers today, including personnel security issues, physical security challenges and the changing face of digital security. Every organization needs to be prepared to protect its facilities, inventory and most importantly its staff. In today’s environment that is no easy task.

- Understand the building blocks of your organizations self-defense tools such as a strategic plan.

Michael Watts
Michael Watts is an accomplished litigator who focuses his practice on training and advising clients regarding workplace violence and safety issues. Mr. Watts also leads and assists employers with sensitive investigations into racial discrimination, sexual harassment, and other allegations. He has served in both the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps and the U.S. Secret Service and offers a unique perspective and expert guidance regarding violence in the workplace, active shooter training, active shooter response, and the use of force. He is a Lt. Col. in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he recently served as the chief prosecutor for the second largest unit in the United States Army Reserve.
